Pastor: Stephen F. Clyborne began his tenure at Earle Street as associate pastor in January 2002, and became the senior pastor in January 2009. A Greenville native, he has served as associate pastor in several Greenville churches. After graduating from Furman University, Stephen received a Master of Divinity degree in 1988 and a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1996 from Erskine Theological Seminary where he also serves as an adjunct professor.

Dr. Clyborne is married to the former Sylvia Davis, a ministry assistant at First Baptist Church in Greenville. He has two daughters: Rachel (a student at Furman University) and Rebekah (a student at Hillcrest High School). He also has two stepsons: Patrick Swift and his wife, Jennifer, who have two daughters (Hannah and Sarah Grace); Micah Swift and his wife, Suzanne, who have three daughters (Emma Kate, Addie and Ella).

Associate Pastor: Greg Dover began his ministry at Earle Street Baptist Church in June of 2009 after graduating from the Wake Forest University School of Divinity. He was thrilled to return to Greenville, having grown up there and also having graduated from Furman University in 2005.

Greg was married to Suzanne Clanton in May of 2009 and they have two dogs, a German shepherd mix named Moses and a Labrador retriever mix named Mira.

Minister of Music: Janice M. Hinnant has been the Minister of Music at Earle Street Baptist Church since 1995. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University in 1984, and a Master of Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987. She has served churches in Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Maryland, and South Carolina. Janice was ordained by Earle Street Baptist Church in June of 2007.

Rev. Hinnant and her husband, Henry, have one son, Kevin, a student at Wade Hampton High School.

Minister to Preschoolers and Children: Paula Durham Hayes began her ministry in April of 2004. In addition to various teaching assignments in both weekday preschool programs and in public elementary schools, Paula served as a Minister to Preschoolers and Children at Shades Crest Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.

Her educational background includes the University of Alabama and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, from which she received a diploma in Religious Education with an emphasis on early childhood education.

Paula and her husband, Harry, were married in March 2009.

Minister of Youth and Recreation: Lucy Doolittle Wilkinson, a Greenville native, joined the staff of Earle Street in June, 2003. A Hall of Fame inductee and All-American member of the rowing team at Clemson University, Lucy graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Minor in Elementary Education.

Lucy and her husband, Tommy, have one son, Maclaren, born in February 2009.

Office Manager and Ministry Assistant for Finances and Mailings: Joyce Johnson joined our staff as office manager in January 1999 after having served other area churches in a similar capacity. Beginning July 1, 2008, Joyce began a position as ministry assistant for finances and mailings. A Greenville native, Joyce has two grown sons (Scott and Chris) and two lovely granddaughters (Kayla and Carlee).
