Worship Services
Sunday morning worship (at 9:15 am and 10:30 am) is the time when the family-at-large gathers to offer praise to and seek guidance from God. It is also often the first place visitors encounter the church.
Sunday School
We have eleven adult Bible study groups offered each Sunday morning, ranging from young adults to senior adults and an Early Bird Class that meets at 8:00 on Sunday mornings. All adult Bible study groups are designed to help adults connect the biblical story with their stories. Our Sunday School classes meet at both 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Wednesday Evenings
Dinner, prayer time, Bible study, and discipleship classes are part of our weekly Wednesday evening schedule.
Missions
Local, hands-on mission partnerships, missions events, trips and opportunities to help persons in the linking of faith and daily life and sharing of their faith with others. Personal individual involvement, ongoing women’s groups, short-term projects, mission emphases weeks and mission offerings provide opportunities for learning, giving and service.
The Discipleship Training Center
The Discipleship Training Center offers quality, well-rounded, and systematic Christian education courses during fall, winter, and spring to members of the church and the wider community. Courses are taught by seminary graduates in our church in the fields of Bible, Theology/History, Ministry, and Spiritual Formation and are designed to help participants be mature, active, and informed disciples of Jesus Christ. The vision of the Discipleship Training Center is to offer to laypeople in a local church setting the kind and quality of education that seminary provides for the clergy.
Ministry Teams
As needs arise in the church, ministry teams are formed to meet those needs. Church members are encouraged to help identify needs and to serve on any of these ministry teams for which they have been gifted. Teams are clustered around five broad categories related to the church’s mission: worship, missions, education, fellowship, and ministry.
Committees
Another way church members participate in the ministry of the church is by serving on the various committees which help church life to function smoothly and responsibly. Often behind the scenes, people who serve on committees keep the life of the church healthy and focused. Church members are encouraged to volunteer to serve on any of these committees: Bereavement, Child Enrichment, Children’s Ministry Council, Constitution and Bylaws, Decorations, Facilities, Food Service, Grounds, Nominating, Ordinance, Personnel, Preschool Ministry Council, Property and Space, Public Relations, Recreation, Scholarship, Strategic Planning, Stewardship, Transportation, Youth Ministries, Sound, Wedding.
