Janice Hinnant, Minister of Music
I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina before going to Furman University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in church music. I then earned a Master’s degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I served churches in Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Maryland before joining the staff at Earle Street in 1995. In addition to music, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, running, singing with Greenville Chorale, dogs, and being a mom, (not necessarily in that order.) I am also a reluctant gardener, mainly out of necessity rather than enjoyment. My son, Kevin, and daughter-in-law, Salem, are both teachers in Greenville County.
Denise Plumblee, Minister of Administration
I joined the staff at Earle Street Baptist in January 2010 after working for many years in the financial services industry. My husband, Phil, and I enjoy walking/running, watching college football and basketball, and all things Disney. We especially enjoy spending time with our six grandchildren - four boys and two girls. Phil and I have two sons and daughters-in-love: Drew and his wife, Sarah and Jordan and his wife, Sarah (that’s right – two Sarahs!). I enjoy helping people get connected to each other and to our church family so please let me know how I can help you!
Jay Roland, Minister of Connections
Born and raised in Laurens County, my wife, Autumn, and I have always called the Upstate home. Together we have a young daughter named Jilliana and two dogs named Little and Roman. I enjoy all things outdoors, long walks with Autumn, reading good books, playing golf poorly, watching the Atlanta Braves, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers. I hold a B.A. in Christian Theology from Anderson University and I am currently continuing my education there by pursuing a Master of Divinity. I am passionate about helping connect our church members to God and one another; becoming servants in our community. I would love to help you find your home here at Earle Street; a spiritual home where you can participate in worship, enjoy fellowship, serve others, and grow in Christ. It’s my prayer that you would come and be a part of what the Spirit of the Lord Jesus is doing in our midst. I look forward to serving with you in Greenville, South Carolina, North America, and around the world!
Karli Selz, Minister of Preschoolers and Children
I was born and raised in North Central Texas. After graduating high school, I moved to Waco, Texas to attend Baylor University. I graduated from Baylor with a B.B.A. in Marketing and MIS. Throughout my education and college summers working with CentriKid camps, I sensed God calling me to ministry. So, I stayed a few more years in Waco and earned a Master of Divinity from Truett Theological Seminary. I am thrilled for the opportunity to minister to the youngest members of our families!
Lucy Wilkinson, Minister of Youth and Recreation
I grew up in Greenville and went to Clemson University where I was on the Rowing Team. I love being outside, going on adventures and trying to keep up with my husband and three boys. At Earle Street, I am the leader for our young leaders (youth) and our future athletes (recreation). Please let me know how I can help you find your home here!
Ellen Heyward, Office and Facilities Manager
Greenville has been home for my entire life. I love this city and all of the unique sights and sounds and am proud to call it home! I enjoy traveling, reading, leathercraft, and spending time with my family and friends. I joined the Earle Street staff in June of 2013. Please let me know if I can assist you. Welcome home!
Gina Conn, Ministry Assistant for Finance
I moved to the Greenville area from Michigan in October of 2019. I love the milder winters, the nearby mountains, and the flowering trees. I have three teenagers, Roy, Ryan, and Rose, and a sweet little dog named Jewel. I enjoy singing and playing the piano, baking, and am an avid reader. I am so glad to be here, and am looking forward to getting to know the congregation.
